When The Ground Turns In Its Sleep (read 3/27/08) Meh.

I read to page 103 of 321 pages, giving it up because it was finally just too annoying to go on. Set in Guatemala, the author keeps that a secret well into the book. To what end? Your guess is as good as mine. The reader would be much better served by having some brief introduction to the history of Guatemala. Without it, the reader is at a total loss as to why the characters are in such a miserable condition.

If you have an understanding of the historical background, you will probably find this an interesting read.
